AFC Bournemouth have made their second signing of the summer by completing the transfer of defender Diego Rico from Leganes.
The Spanish left-back has agreed a four-year deal with Eddie Howe's side, subject to international clearance, after moving for an undisclosed fee.
"I'm very happy to be here and would like to thank everyone at AFC Bournemouth for making me feel so welcome," Rico told the club's official website.
"This is a new step for me in my career and from my heart I can say I am truly excited to be here and looking forward to the future.
"I have heard so much about the manager. I learned he is very professional and has a great philosophy on football and I can see that is true from the short time I have met him so far."
Rico spent the last two seasons at Leganes, making 51 league appearances and scoring three goals, after signing from Real Zaragoza.
Last season the 25-year-old scored twice and made two assists in 26 appearances as Leganes finished 17th in the Primera Liga table.
They had the 11th-best defensive record in the Spanish top flight.
AFC Bournemouth begin their Premier League campaign at home against Cardiff City on 11 August.
Welcome to the club, Diego! 👋
