1997: Nicolas Anelka joins Arsenal
Nicolas Anelka became an Arsenal player in the 1996/97 campaign, arriving from Paris Saint-Germain at the age of 17.
The striker made 65 Premier League appearances for the Gunners, scoring 23 goals, while winning the 1997/98 title.
He joined Real Madrid in the summer of 1999.
Nikica Jelavic's brace helped Hull City to a convincing and valuable 4-0 victory away against relegation rivals Cardiff City.
Tom Huddlestone gave the visitors the breakthrough and Jelavic then scored either side of the interval, while Jake Livermore also got in on the act after the hour-mark.
The victory took Steve Bruce’s side six points clear of the bottom three as they climbed to 11th place, while Cardiff remained 19th, three points from safety.
