Leicester City have announced they have agreed terms for the signing of Ricardo Pereira.
The 24-year-old right-back has agreed to join Leicester from Porto, subject to international clearance, for an undisclosed fee. He will join on a five-year contract.
Pereira has won 34 caps for Portugal and is part of their squad for the 2018 FIFA World Cup in Russia.
"I feel very happy to be here and I can’t wait to do my best to help the team," he told LCFC TV.
"The atmosphere, the fans and the football of the Premier League makes it the best in the world. I am here to support the team and to help the Club to achieve its goals."
Pereira will be reunited with Claude Puel, the Leicester manager, under whom he played on loan at Nice.
He is Leicester’s first signing of the summer transfer window.
