Mohamed Salah and Roberto Firmino both scored twice as Liverpool produced a scintillating display to record a 5-2 victory over Roma in the first leg of their UEFA Champions League semi-final.
The leader of the race for the Golden Boot opened the scoring at Anfield with a superb strike into the top corner from the edge of the area on 35 minutes.
Salah lifted the ball over onrushing goalkeeper Alisson Becker on the stroke of half-time for his 43rd goal of the season in all competitions.
The Egyptian then turned provider, setting up Mane to tap home a third on 56 minutes.
Firmino added a fourth from close range from another Salah cross and then headed in to make the score 5-0.
But, as against West Bromwich Albion on Saturday, Liverpool conceded two late goals.
Edin Dzeko and Diego Perotti, with a penalty, made the first appearance of a Premier League team in the final in six years anything but a formality.
