Lukas Nmecha's hat-trick eased Manchester City's fears of Division 1 relegation as they beat Derby County 4-0 at Pride Park.

A superb individual goal from Luke Bolton, who started his run from the halfway line, made it 1-0 after only three minutes.

Nmecha (No 9, pictured) doubled the lead when he tucked in a cross from Matt Smith.

The 19-year-old made it 3-0 with a back-heeled flick in first-half stoppage-time and completed his treble 10 minutes after the break.

A first defeat at home since November drops Derby to ninth with 21 points, five clear of the bottom two.

City leapfrog Chelsea into seventh on goal difference, with both on 23 points.
