Victor Wanyama hopes to fulfil his dream of winning the Premier League after joining Tottenham Hotspur from Southampton.
The defensive midfielder moves to White Hart Lane on a contract until 2021, where he will be reunited with Mauricio Pochettino, the Spurs manager, who brought him to Southampton from Celtic in 2013.
And Wanyama is relishing the opportunity to work with Pochettino, who impressed the Kenya international during the 2013/14 campaign.
In his first interview since joining Spurs Wanyama told tottenhamhotspur.com: "It was easy for me to come here because I know how the manager is, I know he likes to work hard and he improves players as well.
"I thought it was a good opportunity for me to come here and I think I can improve as a player here.
"Nothing is impossible if you work hard. If we can achieve winning the Premier League then that would be my dream. That's my target, to win the Premier League or any trophy with the club."
Wanyama, who is Pochettino’s first signing of the summer transfer window, is the first and only Kenyan to play in the Premier League.
In total, Wanyama, who turns 25 on Saturday, has played 84 Premier League matches, scoring five goals.
In a letter to Southampton fans on his website, victorwanyama.co.uk, the midfielder said: "It is very emotional for me to say goodbye to the club that gave me the chance to be the first Kenyan to play in Premier League.
"I want to thank every member of the Southampton staff: those who work behind the scenes and never get credit for their contribution to our success on the pitch. We are nothing without you.
"I will never forget my time in Southampton Football Club, I will keep club forever in my heart."
Spurs' first scheduled pre-season match is against Juventus at Melbourne Cricket Ground on 26 July.
They open their 2016/17 Premier League campaign away to Everton on the weekend of 13 August.
