Southampton have no new injury concerns. Charlie Austin (hamstring) is the only player who is unavailable.

Liverpool's Ragnar Klavan and Alberto Moreno are in contention to return, while Joe Gomez is aiming to be back next week.

Adam Lallana made a 63-minute appearance for the PL2 side against Spurs on Monday and has an outside chance of facing his former club. But Jurgen Klopp is wary of rushing him back into first-team action.

Southampton ended their 12-match winless run with victory at West Bromwich Albion last week, and are looking to secure back-to-back Premier League wins for the first time since April 2017.

There has been only one goal scored in the last two matches between these sides in all competitions at St. Mary’s Stadium, after the two before that produced 12 goals.

Jurgen Klopp will face Southampton for the ninth time as Liverpool manager, his most-faced opponent with the club; he has only won two of the previous eight matches (D3 L3).

Liverpool winger Sadio Mane, formerly of Saints, has scored six goals in his last five Premier League appearances at St. Mary’s Stadium.
