Carlos Carvalhal says Swansea City do not need a miracle to preserve their Premier League status this season.

After taking over as Swansea manager until the end of the season Carvalhal is convinced that with hard work he can help them move off the bottom.

"It’s in our hands and we can manage things," Carvalhal told Swansea’s official website. "We don’t need divine help."

"We need strong commitment to move things forward. I promise we will try very hard to change things around."

Carvalhal's quest to keep Swansea in the top flight begins at Watford on Saturday.
