A host of Premier League stars learnt whom they will face for their nations after the draw was made for the 2018 FIFA World Cup.

More than 130 players registered to Premier League clubs this season have been part of their countries' qualifying campaigns for Russia.

Indeed, all 20 clubs have players on their books who hope to feature in the tournament that kicks off on 14 June and ends with the final on 15 July. 

Group A

The only Premier League representatives will be for Egypt, with the league's top scorer, Mohamed Salah, of Liverpool, as well as Ahmed Hegazi (West Brom), Ramadan Sobhi (Stoke City) and Mohamed Elneny (Arsenal), set to face Russia, Saudi Arabia and Uruguay.

Group B

Southampton fans will have a keen interest here as their right-back Cedric Soares could be playing for Portugal against team-mate and Morocco winger Sofiane Boufal.

Man City team-mates David Silva and Bernardo Silva could be battling in midfield in the group's opening match between Spain and Portugal.

Group C

France, coached by former Chelsea midfielder Didier Deschamps and with many Premier League stars such as N'Golo Kante, Hugo Lloris and Benjamin Mendy, will take on Christian Eriksen, Andreas Christensen and Kasper Schmeichel, for Denmark in Group C.

Also in Group C are an Australia team with Brighton & Hove Albion goalkeeper Mat Ryan and Hudddersfield Town midfielder Aaron Mooy, and a Peru side that could feature Andre Carrillo (Watford).

Group D

Every nation in this group has a Premier League player as Man City's Sergio Aguero and Nicolas Otamendi look to represent the runners-up four years ago, Argentina.

They will be up against a Croatia side with Liverpool's Dejan Lovren, Iceland, featuring Gylfi Sigurdsson (Everton) and Johann Berg Gudmundsson (Burnley), and a Nigeria team who qualified thanks to Alex Iwobi (Arsenal), Victor Moses (Chelsea) and Kelechi Iheanacho (Leicester City).

Group E

Brazil, featuring Chelsea's Willian, Liverpool's Philippe Coutinho and Roberto Firmino and Man City's Gabriel Jesus, Fernandinho and Ederson, will take on a Swiss team where Granit Xhaka (Arsenal) and Xherdan Shaqiri (Stoke City) will hope to feature, Costa Rica, and a Serbia side set to include Nemanja Matic (Man Utd).

Group F

Two of Swansea City's representatives, Martin Olsson (Sweden) and Ki Sung-yueng (South Korea) have been drawn to face each other in this group alongside the holders Germany (including Mesut Ozil and Leroy Sane) and a Mexico side whose attack will be led by West Ham United's Chicharito.

Group G

Two former Premier League managers, Gareth Southgate and Roberto Martinez, will go head-to-head for England and Belgium along with a number of team-mates.

Chelsea's Gary Cahill could be up against Eden Hazard, Manchester United's Phil Jones could face Romelu Lukaku while Tottenham Hotspur's Harry Kane will look to get the better of a Belgium defence likely to feature Jan Vertonghen and Toby Alderweireld.

Group H

All teams have Premier League interests, such as West Bromwich Albion's Grzegorz Krychowiak for Poland, Senegal, coached by Aliou Cisse, formerly of Birmingham City and Portsmouth, and for whom Liverpool's Sadio Mane will hope to feature, as well as Colombia (Arsenal's David Ospina) and Japan, with Leicester City's Shinji Okazaki, among the names.
