George Miller produced his 10th goal of the season to help Middlesbrough beat Wolverhampton Wanderers 3-1 at the Riverside Stadium.

Lewis Wing and Tom Brewitt completed the scoring as Boro moved five points clear at the top of Division 2.

The hosts went ahead on 28 minutes when Wing crossed for Miller to head in.

Wing's effort deflected off John on 72 minutes to make it 2-0.

Five minutes later it was 3-0, when Brewitt nodded in and the referee's assistant confirmed that the ball had crossed the line.

Donovan Wilson scored a consolation for Wolves.

Victory takes Boro top of the table, five points clear of Blackburn Rovers, who have played one match fewer, while Wolves lie 10th.
