Fantasy Premier League managers have been dealt two blows this week, after the suspension of Sadio Mane (£9.5m) and injury to Paul Pogba (£8.2m).

Pogba will be out for several weeks with a hamstring problem suffered in the UEFA Champions League on Tuesday.

The Manchester United player is the top-scoring midfielder, having returned 31 points in the first four Gameweeks and is owned by 30.3% of managers.

His injury has already resulted in 433,000+ sales ahead of Friday night's 19:00 BST deadline.

More than 132,000 managers have replaced him with team-mate Henrikh Mkhitaryan (£8.4m), ahead of Sunday's visit of Everton.

Jose Mourinho could turn to Marouane Fellaini (£4.9m) as his own midfield replacement.

The Belgian came off the bench to score in a 3-0 win over Basel on Tuesday night.

The dismissal of Liverpool winger Mane in last week's loss at Manchester City has also sent the FPL market into overdrive.

More than 621,000 owners have parted company with Mane, who will miss the Gameweek 5 and 6 meetings with Burnley and Leicester City.

Jurgen Klopp could turn to Philippe Coutinho (£8.8m) in Mane's absence.

The Brazilian was given a first appearance of the season as a substitute in the UEFA Champions League draw with Sevilla on Wednesday.

Coutinho or Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain (£6.0m) can occupy the left-wing role in Liverpool's 4-3-3 formation.

But Klopp could also switch Roberto Firmino (£8.6m) out wide, with Daniel Sturridge (£8.0m) leading the line against the Clarets.

Heaton out

Burnley arrive at Anfield after confirming Tom Heaton (£5.0m) is set for an extended period out after surgery on a dislocated shoulder.

Heaton was last season's top-scoring goalkeeper and his absence will likely allow Nick Pope (£4.5m) to stake a claim for regular starts.

Burnley’s upcoming schedule is somewhat mixed, though. Each of their next three away matches score four in the Fixture Difficulty Rankings (FDR).

FPL favourite back

Another of last season’s favourites will be assessed after stepping up his recovery from injury.

Gareth McAuley (£4.9m) scored six goals in 2016/17 and the West Bromwich Albion defender's possible return against West Ham United will have owners of Ahmed Hegazi (£4.9m) on alert.

The Egyptian is the most-transferred in player in FPL, with more than one million new owners since the start of the season, but was replaced on 56 minutes with his side 2-0 down at Brighton & Hove Albion in Gameweek 4, returning zero points.

Man City advantage?

Manchester City will look to take advantage of Watford’s injury concerns in defence at Vicarage Road.

Pep Guardiola's side won the corresponding fixture 5-0 last season and have scored nine goals in their last two matches in all competitions.

Watford are without Sebastian Prodl (£4.5m), Younes Kaboul (£4.4m) and Craig Cathcart (£4.5m) through injury, while Miguel Britos (£4.5m) is suspended.

The FPL GW5 deadline is Friday 15 September, 19:00 BST
