Benjamin Mendy and Ilkay Gundogan have given Manchester City a boost for Monday night's visit of Everton

Summer signing Mendy (thigh) is yet to make his Man City debut, while Gundogan has not played in the league since injuring his knee in December.

“They are good, they are fit,” Guardiola confirmed ahead of the 20:00 BST kick-off. “[Gundogan] played a few mins in Girona, so we will see. He is training really well. He needs time, confidence.

“Mendy is at last part of his rehabilitation – still not 100% but he’s almost done. And Fabian Delph, too, is the same position as Mendy, so we have all the players fit.”
