28-year-old midfielder back for third spell at Turf Moor after signing four-year contract

Burnley have announced the signing of Jack Cork from Swansea City for an undisclosed fee.

The midfielder has agreed a four-year deal to return to Burnley after two loan spells in 2009/10 and 2010/11.

"It’s great to be back," Cork told burnleyfootballclub.com. "I’ve got some great memories from the year and a half I was here and it’s good to come back and see some old faces."

He is the Clarets' third summer recruit, after Charlie Taylor and Jonathan Walters.

The 28-year-old has 159 Premier League appearances in spells with Swansea, Southampton and the Clarets.

He began his career at Chelsea whom he could face when Burnley open their 2017/18 Premier League campaign at Stamford Bridge.
