The Scout's panel of Fantasy Premier League experts reveal who they are planning to captain in Gameweek 38 ahead of the deadline at 14:30 BST on Sunday 25 May.

Ollie Watkins (£9.1m) is a tempting option and this is the perfect time to play Manchester United after their UEFA Europa League final defeat. Mohamed Salah (£13.6m) is the safe option and I expect him to step up following some recent poor performances.
I am, however, considering bringing in a differential and captaining them, with Anthony Gordon (£7.4m) one player who I think can go big. Newcastle need a win, while Everton have nothing to play for. Gordon has looked lively in his last couple of games playing in a front three with little defensive responsibility. Against his old club, and with so much at stake for Newcastle, he will be as motivated as ever.

Salah is the obvious choice and has been the most-captained player every week in the second half of the season when Liverpool have had a fixture. But I am not happy with my overall ranking and am 10 points behind Lee, who I would really like to catch. Therefore I will be looking at the likes of Watkins, Bryan Mbeumo (£8.3m) or, if fit, Alexander Isak (£9.4m), to finish the season with a flourish.

There could be a real party atmosphere this weekend, with Liverpool and Crystal Palace both celebrating their trophies. I am expecting an open game with lots of goals, which is why I'll be captaining Salah.

I'm captaining Salah. Both teams will have one eye on their holidays, but I'm expecting that Salah will be fired up and hoping to finish the season with a flourish.

The most in-form player at the moment is West Ham's Jarrod Bowen (£7.9m). If you're chasing in your mini-leagues and want a differential captain to Salah, the Hammers' talisman could be the one. But I'll be sticking with the Liverpool star.
