The Scout's panel of Fantasy Premier League experts reveal who they are planning to captain in Gameweek 35 ahead of the deadline at 18.30 BST on Friday 2 May.
Lee Bonfield (@FPLFamily)
With the league title secured, the only thing left for Mohamed Salah (£13.8m) to achieve is individual accolades, which he referred to a couple of times during his post-match interviews at Anfield last weekend. Against a Chelsea side who have UEFA Conference League semi-final matches either side of Gameweek 35, I'm not expecting Salah to take his foot off the pedal, even though Liverpool are champions.
Oscar (@FPLFocal)
I'm looking to bring Bryan Mbeumo (£8.1m) into my team for Bukayo Saka (£10.5m), who I fear will be benched before Arsenal's UEFA Champions League semi-final second leg against Paris Saint-Germain. I'm expecting Manchester United, who visit Brentford, to prioritise Europe, so I'll be captaining Mbeumo. The Brentford talisman takes penalties, set-pieces and has the second-most Fantasy points in 2024/25.

Brighton & Hove Albion have conceded a minimum of two goals in each of the last six Gameweeks. I get the feeling that their game against a motivated Newcastle United, who are chasing a top-five finish, will be a fairly open contest. This is why I will likely be going with Alexander Isak (£9.6m) as my captain.
Ben Crabtree (@FC_Crabdogg)
My armband is currently on Omar Marmoush (£7.6m), as Manchester City's home games are an easy first port of call, although Wolves' form is impressive, having won six matches in a row. I have an eye on switching to Mbeumo, however, who has a much easier fixture on paper against Man Utd.
Utkarsh Dalmia (@ZopharFPL)
Assuming he comes through Thursday night's match at Nottingham Forest unscathed, Mbeumo will be my captain, given opponents Man Utd are likely to rotate between their two Europa League matches. The Cameroon international has set-pieces, penalties and consistently plays 90 minutes.
Sam Bonfield (@FPLFamily)
Salah is the obvious pick, but this Gameweek feels like one of the last opportunities to risk a differential. Brentford's Mbeumo faces a Man Utd side with one eye on Europe and has 25 attacking returns this season prior to Thursday's trip to Forest. With only Salah having registered more FPL points this season, maybe it's time for Mbeumo to be my captain this weekend.
Gianni Buttice (@GianniButtice)
Isak has a really nice fixture at Brighton who have conceded multiple goals against both West Ham and Leicester City in recent weeks. However, usually I like to back a captain that is playing at home, which is why Kevin De Bruyne (£9.4m) and Mbeumo are both options I really like. As things stand the armband is on Mbeumo, knowing Man Utd are likely to rotate due to their European semi-final.
