As the summer transfer window closed, and major deals were announced, we list the key players who could make their Premier League debut for their new club in Matchweek 4's round of fixtures.
Jadon Sancho (Chelsea)
The winger joined Chelsea on loan from Manchester United on Deadline Day, and hopes to make his first Premier League appearance since August 2023. He spent the second half of last season on loan at Borussia Dortmund, scoring three goals and providing three assists, helping the German side reach the UEFA Champions League final.
Sancho, 24, is competing for a start with players such as Noni Madueke, Mykhailo Mudryk and Pedro Neto at AFC Bournemouth this weekend.
Raheem Sterling (Arsenal)
Arsenal announced the loan signing of Sterling from Chelsea in the final hours of the transfer window. Sterling - who described the move as "the perfect fit' for him - netted eight times and provided four assists in the Premier League for the Blues last season.
He could feature in the north London derby against Tottenham Hotspur this Sunday, but faces stern competition from Bukayo Saka, Leandro Trossard and Gabriel Martinelli.
Eddie Nketiah (Crystal Palace)
After a week of speculation, Palace announced the signing of Nketiah on Deadline Day. Born in Lewisham, south London, Nketiah follows in the footsteps of Arsenal legend and former Palace striker Ian Wright, who made the reverse journey from south to north London.
Oliver Glasner faces with the tough decision of whether to start his new forward, 25, at Leicester City, either alongside the trusted Jean-Philippe Mateta, or in place of the Frenchman.
Ferdi Kadioglu (Brighton & Hove Albion)
Brighton completed the signing of Kadioglu earlier in the summer, but the defender has yet to appear for the club. The high-flying full-back transferred from Fenerbahce after an impressive UEFA Euro 2024, where Turkey reached the quarter-finals.
Kadioglu's versatility captured the attention of Fabian Hurzeler, who told the club's website, “He is very keen to learn and develop - I’m confident he will adjust and adapt quickly to English football." Brighton host Ipswich on Saturday.
Manuel Ugarte (Man Utd)
The signing of Ugarte from Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) will add youth and energy into Man Utd's midfield. Ball-winner Ugarte, 23, contributed to the French side winning a domestic treble of Ligue 1, the Coupe de France and the Trophee des Champions in 2023/24.
Man Utd manager Erik ten Hag hinted that Ugarte may have to wait for his debut. He said, "He needs to build his fitness and then we have to build him in the team and I’m sure he’ll be an important player. But that will take a couple of weeks, maybe even months."
However Ugarte, who had the second-best tackles-per-90 rate in Europe’s top five leagues last season, played 79 minutes for Uruguay on Friday and will hope that will be enough to persuade Ten Hag to hand him his debut against Southampton.
Federico Chiesa (Liverpool)
The Italian winger made the switch from Juventus to Liverpool this summer, having made 37 appearances in all competitions, scoring nine goals and providing three assists. He capped off last season lifting the Italian Cup.
Chiesa, whose father Enrico scored for Italy at Anfield during UEFA Euro '96, could be in line for his first Liverpool start when Arne Slot's Reds host Nottingham Forest on Saturday.
Joachim Andersen (Fulham)
Signed from Palace, Andersen is no stranger to Craven Cottage. The centre-back previously made 31 appearances on loan for Fulham and could play against West Ham United on Saturday.
After four years away, Andersen returns an improved player and looking to slot seamlessly into Marco Silva's defence.
Maxence Lacroix (Crystal Palace)
Following Andersen's departure, Glasner knew the man to replace him. Lacroix, the 24-year-old French centre-back, played under him at Wolfsburg where the pair achieved UEFA Champions League qualification.
“We had a good connection,” Lacroix told the club's website. “He was my first coach in the Bundesliga and I had a good season." Palace face Leicester at home on Saturday.
Carlos Soler (West Ham)
Linking up with fellow Spaniard and new West Ham head coach Julen Lopetegui, 27-year-old Soler joined West Ham from PSG.
The versatile Spain international played 28 times for PSG last season, featuring both as a midfielder and full-back, and hopes to be involved at Fulham.
Morato (Nott'm Forest)
The 23-year-old Brazil defender arrived at Forest from Portuguese side Benfica and could make his first Premier League start at Liverpool on Saturday.
Morato broke into Benfica's first-team in the 2021/22 season and went on to make 86 appearances, featuring in the UEFA Champions League, and their 2022/23 title-winning side.

Tosin Adarabioyo (Chelsea)
Trevoh Chalobah (Crystal Palace)
Jorge Cuenca (Fulham)
Ryan Fraser (Southampton)
Carlos Forbs (Wolverhampton Wanderers)
Luis Guilherme (West Ham)
