Crystal Palace have released a statement by Sam Allardyce on his decision to step down as manager of the club.
The 62-year-old has decided to leave Palace nine days after preserving their Premier League status with a 4-0 victory over Hull City.
"In some ways, this has been a very difficult decision to make, but in others it has been a simple one," reads the statement on cpfc.co.uk.
"I will always be grateful to Crystal Palace and Steve Parish for giving me the opportunity to go out with my head held high having helped keep the club in the Premier League."

Allardyce took over from Alan Pardew at Selhurst Park on 23 December with Palace a point above the relegation zone, having lost eight of their previous 10 matches.
Charged with steering the club away from the drop zone, it took time for Allardyce’s methods to take effect, Palace managing just a point from their next five matches.
However, the January arrivals of Mamadou Sakho, Patrick van Aanholt, Jeffrey Schlupp and Luka Milivojevic helped inspire a resurgence that brought eight victories from their last 16 matches, including wins against Chelsea, Arsenal and Liverpool.
Palace sealed the their top-flight status with victory over Hull and one match of the season remaining, finishing the campaign in 14th.
