Tottenham Hotspur had no answer for Alexander Isak on Saturday afternoon as the Newcastle United striker continued his superb streak in front of goal by scoring twice in the Magpies' impressive 4-0 win.

Isak has now scored in six consecutive Premier League home matches for Newcastle as he took his tally to 17 goals for the season, just three goals behind the leaders in the race for the Castrol Golden Boot.

Alan Shearer, the Premier League's record goalscorer and Hall of Fame inductee, has named Isak in his Team of the Week, along with team-mate Fabian Schar.

Alan Shearer's MW33 Team of the Week

Dean Henderson (Crystal Palace)
"Made some stunning reaction saves to preserve his clean sheet. Liverpool will still be wondering how he kept some of those shots out."

Diego Carlos (Aston Villa)
"Another player who frustrated some top attacking players who are chasing the title. He didn't put a foot wrong in Aston Villa's outstanding win at Arsenal."

Fabian Schar (Newcastle)
"A goal and a superb performance. He kept Son Heung-min quiet all afternoon."

Tyrick Mitchell (Crystal Palace)
"Subdued Mohamed Salah. Even when the Egyptian seemed certain to score at close range, Mitchell appeared out of nowhere to block his shot. He capped off a fine display with an assist for the decisive goal."

Adam Wharton (Crystal Palace)
"Absolutely outstanding. Rarely lost the ball and disrupted Liverpool on so many occasions. He ran the midfield at Anfield."

Bruno Fernandes (Man Utd)
"His team may be inconsistent but Fernandes is in good form, and he was on hand again to get them a result by scoring two goals."

Andreas Pereira (Fulham)
"He made the difference, scoring both goals in Fulham's win at West Ham United."

Cole Palmer (Chelsea)
"Wow! Four goals, enough said. What an incredible season he is having."

Matheus Cunha (Wolves)
"Looks like a completely different player under Gary O'Neil. He showed outstanding skill and a great finish for the first goal, and good striker's instincts for the second."

Alexander Isak (Newcastle)
"What a sensational season for Isak! He left Micky van de Ven on the floor for the first goal and then left him behind for his second."

Eberechi Eze (Crystal Palace)
"Liverpool didn't know how to stop him. Brilliant composure for his goal and he caused havoc for their backline throughout the match."

Manager: Unai Emery (Aston Villa)
"What a statement victory against his former club. Emery delivered an absolute masterclass."
