How the match unfolded
Fulham made two changes from the draw against Burnley at Turf Moor, with Tosin Adarabioyo and Harrison Reed replaced by Issa Diop and Tom Cairney.
There were two changes for Bournemouth, too, as Alex Scott and Marcus Tavernier came in for Antoine Semenyo and Justin Kluivert.
Fulham started brightly and Bobby De Cordova-Reid gave Fulham a sixth-minute lead. Lewis Cook intercepted a cross by Rodrigo Muniz, but slipped in doing so, allowing De Cordova-Reid to fire home.

It was almost 2-0 three minutes later as Willian weaved his way through but Neto did well to get low and tip the Brazilian’s shot wide.
The Bournemouth goalkeeper again did well to stop a second when Antonee Robinson’s shot was diverted goalwards by a defender midway through the first half.
Bournemouth’s Luis Sinisterra almost celebrated his loan from Leeds United being made permanent with a goal but Bernd Leno parried his long-range shot wide.
De Cordova-Reid and Muniz were also at the heart of Fulham’s second, the Englishman nodding the ball across for the Brazilian nipped in to poke the ball home as the Bournemouth defence hesitated.
The Cherries halved the deficit on 50 minutes when Dominic Solanke headed back a corner to Marcos Senesi, who did well to turn and score.
But within two minutes Fulham’s two-goal lead was restored as an unmarked Muniz volleyed in Willian’s cross at the back post.
Bournemouth sought a way back and brought on deadline-day signing Enes Unal but could not find a way past Leno.
Fulham have 29 points, two more than Bournemouth who are winless in five.

Key facts
Fulham have won five of their last seven home Premier League matches (D1 L1), while their seven league wins at Craven Cottage this season are only one fewer than in the whole of 2022/23.
Bournemouth are without victory in their last five Premier League matches (D2 L3), having won six of their previous seven matches before.
De Cordova-Reid has three Premier League goals against Bournemouth, more than against any other side. Indeed, 10 of his last 11 goals in the competition have put Fulham one goal in the lead, including each of his last seven. He also scored and assisted in a Premier League match for only a second time, with the previous instance coming back in October 2018 for Cardiff City v Fulham.
Solanke has been directly involved in 48 per cent of Bournemouth’s Premier League goals this season (15 out of 31), the highest share of any player for a side in 2023/24.
