The most-captained and the second most-bought player for Gameweek 24, Erling Haaland (£14.4m), rewarded his backers in Fantasy Premier League with his first double-figure haul since Gameweek 12.

He scored both goals in Manchester City's 2-0 win over Everton to earn 13 points, or 26 with the armband.

More than 4.8million people captained Haaland, his largest backing for eight rounds, and over 641,000 added him to their squads. In total, 1.8m Fantasy bosses have recruited Haaland since Pep Guardiola passed him fit to face Burnley in Gameweek 22.

GW24 most-captained players
Player Captained by Pts
Haaland 4,822,696 13
De Bruyne 1,074,014 4
Watkins 518,884 2
Jota 428,767 7
Alvarez 336,509 2

The most-expensive player in FPL, Haaland will be a popular candidate for the Triple Captain chip in Double Gameweek 25, having impressed against Everton with four shots, three shots in the box and two chances created.

Man City play twice in the next round, hosting Chelsea and Brentford at the Etihad Stadium.

Kevin De Bruyne (£10.8m) was captained by more than 1million managers for the third successive Gameweek.

There was disappointment initially with City's playmaker named among the substitutes but he emerged in the second half to supply the assist for Haaland's second goal.

The Belgium international has registered an assist in each of his four appearances following his return from injury.

Julian Alvarez (£6.8m) was the third member of Guardiola's side to make the top five active captains.

The Argentinian maintained his record of starting every match this season despite the increased threat of rotation with both Haaland and De Bruyne available for selection.

Nonetheless, the quality of chances afforded to Alvarez has been impacted by Haaland's return.

In the six matches the Norwegian missed, Alvarez was presented with at least one big chance in each encounter. He's had none since, and that contributed to him blanking for a second consecutive match.

There are still some encouraging signs for his owners, however, after he took seven corners, created three chances and had two shots against Everton.

Ollie Watkins (£8.7m) took third place in the captaincy stakes, handed the armband by 518,000+ Fantasy managers.

But the top-scoring FPL forward was unable to emulate his 18-point return from Gameweek 23 against Manchester United on Sunday, blanking in the 2-1 defeat.

Richarlison 501,074 2

The No 1 transfer target for Gameweek 24, Diogo Jota (£8.2m) notched his eighth attacking return in six matches with a goal in Liverpool's 3-1 victory at home to Burnley.

Over that period, his total of 49 points is only bettered by the 51 of Phil Foden (£8.0m) among all players.

Liverpool, like Man City, also play twice in Double Gameweek 25 with matches against Brentford and Luton Town.

Richarlison's (£7.2m) impressive form with nine goals in eight outings ahead of Tottenham Hotspur's encounter with Brighton & Hove Albion led to him featuring among the top three transfers in.

But he was unable to add to that tally as he failed to score for just the second time since Gameweek 16, blanking against Brighton on both occasions.

Haaland 72 13
Diogo Jota 12 7
Darwin 6 6
Foden 4 3
Richarlison 3 2

After hauls from Watkins and Foden shook up the standings at the top of the leaderboard last weekend, the majority were justified in backing Haaland this time.

72 of the leading 100 managers handed Haaland the armband for the 16th double-digit haul of his career.

In second and third place, Jota and Darwin Nunez (£7.6m) both delivered for the combined 18 managers who selected them for the captaincy. But they were unable to match Haaland with Darwin's goal and yellow card resulting in six points to go alongside the seven from Jota.

Foden and Richarlison completed the top five captains among the elite managers.
