When Jurgen Klopp leaves Liverpool at the end of the season, he will be bequeathing a remarkable legacy to his successor, to the Premier League and to English football.

Since Klopp joined in 2015, Liverpool have the second-best record in the Premier League, racking up 671 points from 317 matches. Only Klopp’s nemesis, Manchester City, with 716 points, have more.

The range of the haul of trophies for Liverpool is unprecedented as well, having won six: the Premier League (2019/20), UEFA Champions League (2018/19), FA Cup (2021/22), EFL Cup (2021/22) as well as the FIFA Club World Cup (2019), and UEFA Super Cup (2019).

His win-rate in all competitions for Liverpool of 60.7 per cent is also the highest in the club’s history.

Klopp has given debuts to 42 teenagers since he took over. That is more than any manager in Liverpool’s history.
