One of the most entertaining matches in the Premier League's calendar, Liverpool versus Arsenal has served up some memorable encounters over the years.

Ahead of Saturday's meeting at Anfield, we relive FIVE classic contests between the two sides.

Liverpool 2-2 Arsenal, Apr 2023

We start with the pair's most recent meeting, as Arsenal looked well on their way to a first Premier League title since 2004. Goals from Gabriel Martinelli and Gabriel Jesus put the Gunners two-up inside the first half-hour, but Liverpool pulled one back just before the break through Mohamed Salah. With three minutes remaining, Roberto Firmino struck to earn the hosts a point.

Liverpool 3-3 Arsenal, Jan 2016

This six-goal thriller was packed from start to finish. Firmino and Oliver Giroud both scored twice, with each player producing a stunning strike apiece. Liverpool again left it late, Joe Allen the hero on this occasion as his volley found the bottom corner.

Liverpool 5-1 Arsenal, Feb 2014

Liverpool ran riot in this match, scoring four times in the first half including a 10-minute brace from defender Martin Skrtel.

Raheem Sterling completed his double shortly after the break, while current Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta netted a consolation penalty.

Liverpool 4-4 Arsenal, Apr 2009

Two months after his Arsenal debut, Andrey Arshavin was stealing the show at Anfield. The Russian struck four times, two with either foot and even more remarkably, they came from the only shots on target he had during the match.

A stoppage-time strike from Yossi Benayoun was the final goal in this breathtaking encounter.

Liverpool 2-1 Arsenal, Nov 2004

In a match featuring the likes of Steven Gerrard and Thierry Henry, it was the youngster Neil Mellor who provided the Merseyside magic with a stunning late winner.
