The Scout highlights the best replacements for James Maddison (£8.1m) in Fantasy Premier League with the Tottenham Hotspur star was ruled out until the new year through injury.

Jarrod Bowen (West Ham) £7.5m

West Ham United’s talisman ranks fourth among midfielders on the back of seven goals and an assist in 11 matches.

Bowen has been one of the most consistent players in Fantasy this season and has yet to blank in back-to-back Gameweeks.

The Hammers’ upcoming schedule lifts his prospects for many Gameweeks to come. According to the Fixture Difficulty Ratings (FDR), five of their next six matches score a mere two.

Son Heung-min (Spurs) £9.7m

Maddison’s team-mate is back to his best this season after being moved up front by head coach Ange Postecoglou.

Son is the top-scoring player in Fantasy since switching positions in Gameweek 4, earning 72 points thanks to eight goals and an assist.

The South Korean has delivered four double-figure hauls over that run, highlighting his captaincy potential ahead of Spurs’ visit to Wolverhampton Wanderers this weekend.

Bukayo Saka (Arsenal) £8.6m

If he recovers from the knock that forced him off against Sevilla in midweek, the Arsenal winger looks a major all-round prospect for the upcoming period.

Saka has scored four goals and supplied five assists to place fifth among midfielders on 66 points, blanking in only two of his 10 appearances.

His 14 shots in the box, six big chances, nine shots on target and 24 chances created all rank among the Gunners’ top two players this season.

Mikel Arteta’s side face Burnley, Wolves and Luton Town over the next four Gameweeks, offering Saka the chance to deliver huge hauls.

Eberechi Eze (Crystal Palace) £6.1m

The Crystal Palace star has returned to form and fitness ahead of a kind short-term schedule.

Having emerged from the bench to supply an assist in a 2-0 win at Burnley last time out, Eze - who has dropped £0.4m in cost since the campaign started - can offer major value in Fantasy.

According to the FDR, three of the Eagles’ next four matches, including his home encounter with Everton this weekend, score only two.

Eze's GW11 assist for Mitchell v Burnley
Anthony Gordon (Newcastle) £5.7m

The 22-year-old’s versatility has proved vital for Newcastle United recently.

Having started in his usual position on the left wing against Arsenal last weekend, Gordon was moved up front midway through the second half.

He scored within five minutes of that change, underlining his importance to the Magpies, as well as his fixture-proof appeal in Fantasy.

Eddie Howe's side are troubled by injuries to their forwards heading into the weekend, suggesting Gordon could start up front against AFC Bournemouth.

Kaoru Mitoma (Brighton) £6.5m

Brighton & Hove Albion’s star has the schedule to improve his recent poor form.

Mitoma’s assist against Everton last weekend ended a run of four straight blanks and earned him six points.

Despite that lack of output, he remains one of the most-popular midfielders in Fantasy and is owned by over 36 per cent.

Mitoma can reward their patience over fixtures with Sheffield United, Nottingham Forest and Burnley in the next five Gameweeks.
