Mohamed Salah's scintillating form throughout October has been rewarded with the EA SPORTS Premier League Player of the Month award.

Salah moves alongside Wayne Rooney and Robin van Persie to win the accolade for a fifth time, and now has more Player of the Month awards than any other active Premier League player.

Only Cristiano Ronaldo, Steven Gerrard, Harry Kane and Sergio Aguero have won the award on more occasions.

Salah scored in all three of Liverpool's matches in October, netting twice against both Brighton & Hove Albion and Everton before adding another in the Reds' 3-0 win over Nottingham Forest at the end of the October.

Salah topped a six-man shortlist after votes on the EA SPORTS website were combined with those of a panel of football experts.

The Egyptian joins Tottenham Hotspur duo James Maddison and Son Heung-min as this season's Player of the Month winners so far.
