West Ham United will face Wolverhampton Wanderers in the Division 2 play-offs after overtaking Blackburn Rovers on the final day of the season with a 4-0 victory at West Bromwich Albion.

The Hammers were one of four clubs contesting the two remaining play-off places and started the evening a point and a place behind fifth-placed Blackburn.

West Ham raced into a 3-0 lead just past the half-hour mark thanks to low shots from Dan Kemp and Martin Samuelsen and a superb 25-yard free-kick from Nathan Holland.

Samuelsen netted the fourth in the 69th minute with a diving header after a cross by Holland.

The win and Blackburn's goalless draw with Aston Villa meant that the Hammers overtook Rovers to take the final play-off place by a point.

The Baggies finished ninth in the 12-team table.
