See what is in store for Premier League clubs over the next seven days, including EFL Cup ties

Here's what to look out for over the next seven days, with the EFL Cup throwing up five midweek duels between Premier League clubs, followed by a busy Saturday featuring EIGHT fixtures.

Monday

Early team news will start to filter out as EFL Cup holders Manchester United and four other Premier League clubs turn their attention to Tuesday night's third-round ties.

Mason Mount and Harry Maguire have both been spotted at United's Carrington training ground ahead of the Red Devils' home match against Crystal Palace, while press conferences will also bring the latest news from Burnley, Luton Town and Wolverhampton Wanderers.

Tuesday

Press conferences will continue to bring the latest team news and managers' thoughts in preparation for more midweek action.

Pep Guardiola has already confirmed Jack Grealish will play some part for Manchester City as they face a Newcastle United team buoyant following their 8-0 win at Sheffield United on Sunday.

Man Utd host Palace at 20:00 BST, four days before the teams meet again in the Premier League. Luton visit League One side Exeter City, while Burnley travel to take on League Two outfit Salford City.

Gary O'Neil's Wolves have a tricky test at Ipswich Town, who are second in the Championship table with seven wins from their eight league matches this season.

The Under-21 teams from Chelsea, Man Utd, Man City and Everton are also in EFL Trophy action. The competition offers an opportunity for academy players to gain valuable experience on their career pathway. Indeed, Gabriel Martinelli, Declan Rice and Bukayo Saka have all played in the competition.

All four clubs face away ties. Chelsea visit Northampton Town, Man City face Barnsley and Everton play Burton, while Man Utd lock horns with Trophy holders Bolton Wanderers.

Wednesday

A further 12 Premier League clubs will be looking to book their place in the fourth round of the EFL Cup, with eight of those being engaged in duels with top-flight rivals.

Aston Villa face Everton, Brentford host Arsenal, Chelsea play Brighton & Hove Albion and Newcastle will look for revenge against Man City, having already lost 1-0 to them this season.

AFC Bournemouth, Fulham and Liverpool each face Championship sides - Stoke City, Norwich City and Leicester City respectively.

West Ham make the trip to giant-killers Lincoln City, who knocked out Sheffield United in the second round on penalties.

The draw for the fourth round will be held following the conclusion of the Newcastle v Man City tie.

Thursday

Some clubs' managers will be holding their press conferences ahead of a full weekend of Premier League fixtures, providing updates on the latest team news.

Friday

The remaining Premier League managers will face the media, providing injury and fitness updates.

Saturday

Matchweek 7 of the Premier League starts with the 12:30 BST kick off between Villa and Brighton, so Fantasy Premier League managers should look out for an earlier deadline of 11:00 BST

There will be eight matches on Saturday, concluding with a mouthwatering tussle between unbeaten top-four rivals Tottenham Hotspur and Liverpool at 17:30 BST. 

Sunday

There's only one match in the calendar, between Nottingham Forest and Brentford, who are separated by one place and a single point in the table.
