Following another thrilling round of Premier League action, take a look at some of the incredible stats from Matchweek 4.

On Saturday, three different players all scored hat-tricks: Son Heung-min, Erling Haaland and Evan Ferguson. That has happened only once before, with the previous occasion taking place almost 28 years ago. On 23 September 1995, goalscoring legends Robbie Fowler, Alan Shearer, and Tony Yeboah all claimed the match ball on the same day.

With his hat-trick Haaland reached 51 goal involvements in an astonishing 39 appearances in the Premier League, with 42 goals and nine assists. This broke another Premier League mark, beating Andrew Cole’s record of 43 matches as the fastest a player has reached 50 goals or assists in the competition.

Not only that but Haaland's hat-trick was his fifth in the competition, with all five coming at the Etihad Stadium. Only four other players have scored five or more hat-tricks at a single ground in the competition and they are all Premier League legends: Sergio Aguero (nine at the Etihad), Thierry Henry (eight at Highbury), Shearer (seven at Ewood Park), and Fowler (six at Anfield).

With his treble, Ferguson became only the fourth player, and the first in 25 years, to score a Premier League hat-trick aged 18 or younger, after Chris Bart-Williams, Fowler, and Michael Owen, who did so on three occasions.

There have been six occasions when an 18-year-old has scored a PL hat-trick:
- Bart-Williams v Southampton (Apr 1993)
- Fowler v Southampton (Oct 1993)
- Owen v Sheff Wed (Feb 1998)
- Owen v Newcastle (Aug 1998)
- Owen v Nott'm Forest (Oct 1998)
- Ferguson v Newcastle (Sep 2023)

As a result of the defeat by Tottenham Hotspur on Saturday, Burnley became the fourth team this season to have lost their opening three Premier League matches, joining Everton, Luton Town and Sheffield United. It's the first time ever in a top-flight season that four different sides have lost their opening three fixtures.

It's a match known for its late drama but did you know that Declan Rice’s goal on 95 minutes and 43 seconds was the latest winning goal ever scored in a Premier League fixture between Arsenal and Manchester United?

Also the goal that sealed the result at Emirates Stadium extended a remarkable record for Gabriel Jesus. In the 57 matches that the Brazilian forward has scored, he has never lost in the Premier League, winning 52 and drawing five.

Crystal Palace's 3-2 win over Wolverhampton Wanderers on Sunday was their fourth consecutive victory over the West Midlands side at Selhurst Park, the first time that the Eagles have achieved that over an opponent in the Premier League.

Manchester City showed their clinical nature on Saturday. Their five goals came from only seven shots in total and five shots on target against Fulham. Ruthless.

James Maddison showed his threat from long range on Saturday at Turf Moor with his 18th Premier League goal from outside the penalty area.  Since Maddison's Premier League debut in 2018/19, only James Ward-Prowse can match that total for goals from outside the area.

Chelsea's defeat at Stamford Bridge by Nottingham Forest was their fifth at home in 2023, their most in a calendar year since they got beaten the same number of times in 1995. From their seven remaining home fixtures in 2023, the Blues need to prevent two more defeats to avoid matching their worst calendar year for home losses, when they lost seven times at Stamford Bridge in 1993.

Aged 21 years and 267 days, Cameron Archer was the youngest English player to score on his first Premier League start since Matty Longstaff for Newcastle against Man Utd in October 2019 (19 years and 199 days).

With the 2-1 win at Luton Town on Friday, two West Ham United players achieved Premier League firsts. Jarrod Bowen became the first player to score in each of  first three away matches in a top-flight campaign since Vic Watson in 1930/31, while Ward-Prowse became the first player to score or assist a goal in each of his first three Premier League appearances for West Ham.
