Kyle Walker (£5.1m) is among a trio of Manchester City players to be picked in The Scout’s best XI for Gameweek 4 of Fantasy Premier League.

The right-back is the only defender to start each of the champions’ first three matches of the season ahead of their home encounter with Fulham.

Walker is joined by team-mates Erling Haaland (£14.0m) and Julian Alvarez (£6.6m) in a 3-5-2 set-up, with Haaland retaining the armband and Mohamed Salah (£12.5m) named as vice-captain.

Scout Selection for Gameweek 4
Mark Flekken (Brentford) £4.5m

Brentford’s No 1 offers multiple routes to returns at home to AFC Bournemouth. Flekken has combined a clean sheet with one save point and one bonus in his previous two outings to collect 10 points.

Ben Chilwell (Chelsea) £5.8m

The Chelsea wing-back boasts strong home form ahead of a visit from Nottingham Forest. Chilwell has amassed 13 points in his first two outings at Stamford Bridge in 2023/24, thanks to an assist, a clean sheet and two bonus.

Kyle Walker (Man City) £5.1m

Walker has created five chances in the first three Gameweeks, only one fewer than he managed in the entire 2022/23 season.

Pedro Porro (Spurs) £4.9m

The right-back has helped Tottenham Hotspur earn back-to-back clean sheets since his first start of the season in Gameweek 2. Porro also recorded four shots in those matches, highlighting his attacking threat away to Burnley.

Mohamed Salah (Liverpool) £12.5m

Liverpool’s Egyptian is the only Reds player to start and produce attacking points in each of the first three Gameweeks. Salah has never blanked at home to his visitors Aston Villa, producing two goals, two assists and 26 points over those four meetings at Anfield.

James Maddison (Spurs) £7.7m

Spurs’ new playmaker visits Burnley on the back of a goal, two assists and 19 points in his first two away appearances of the season. Maddison’s eight shots and nine chances created are both team-leading totals for Ange Postecoglou’s side.

Raheem Sterling (Chelsea) £7.2m

His two goals, assist and 19 points against Luton Town have made the Chelsea star the top transfer target for Gameweek 4. Sterling has earned a hefty 844,000 new owners and will face a Nott’m Forest defence who have conceded at least twice in both of their road trips.

Jarrod Bowen (West Ham) £7.0m

The West Ham United winger visits Luton on the back of his season-high haul of 12 points against Brighton & Hove Albion. Bowen’s 11 shots, eight shots in the box and five shots on target all rank top for the Hammers in the first three Gameweeks.

Eberechi Eze (Crystal Palace) £6.4m

A home encounter with Wolverhampton Wanderers gives the Crystal Palace talisman the chance to collect his first attacking returns of 2023/24. Eze’s total of 16 shots ranks joint-top with Haaland among all players, while he has also created a team-high nine chances.

Erling Haaland (Man City) £14.0m

Over 91 per cent of managers own the Man City forward for his home match with Fulham. The Cottagers' defensive numbers show why millions of those backers will hand Haaland the captaincy. They have conceded 14 big chances and 27 shots on target, both more than any other side.

Julian Alvarez (Man City) £6.6m

The Argentinian’s 12 shots and 12 key passes mean he is one of only two players, along with Bruno Fernandes (£8.5m), to record double-digits for both statistics. At a cost of only £6.6m, Alvarez's all-round potential makes him a cut-price gem as a route into the champions' attack.
