August EA SPORTS Player shortlist

Taiwo Awoniyi (Nott'm Forest)
P3 W1 D0 L2 G3 A0
The Nigerian striker scored in each of Nottingham Forest's first three matches, extending his overall scoring streak dating back to last season to seven consecutive Premier League matches, only the third African player to do so.

Jarrod Bowen (West Ham)
P3 W2 D1 L0 G2 A1
His three goal involvements in August were a joint-high and helped West Ham United end the month in second place.

James Maddison (Spurs)
P3 W2 D1 L0 G1 A2
The summer signing has helped Tottenham Hotspur quickly transform into a possession-based, attacking team. He has been at the heart of everything, directly contributing to three goals in an unbeaten start.

Bryan Mbeumo (Brentford)
P3 W1 D2 L0 G3 A0
The Cameroonian has stepped up in the absence of suspended Ivan Toney, scoring a joint-high three August goals, from only seven shots, for unbeaten Brentford.

Kaoru Mitoma (Brighton)
P3 W2 D0 L1 G1 A2
No player set up more goals than the Japanese's two in August, while he also scored a sensational solo goal against Wolverhampton Wanderers. Only two players bettered his 11 chances created in the month.

Rodri (Man City)
P3 W3 D0 L0 G2 A1
The only nominee with a 100 per cent winning record, central-midfielder Rodri has already matched his goal tally from the whole of last season, with one of his goals being a late winner at Sheffield United. His 361 passes were more than any other player in August.
