Mohamed Salah (£12.5m) and Darwin Nunez (£7.5m) are hitting form ahead of the start of 2023/24 Fantasy Premier League next month. 

The pair combined for three of Liverpool’s goals in a 4-4 draw with German side Greuther Furth on Monday.

Salah provided two assists for Nunez before scoring his side’s final goal, thanks to the Uruguayan’s assist.

Meanwhile, Trent Alexander-Arnold (£8.0m) was deployed as a central midfielder for the second consecutive match.

Alexander-Arnold, who is listed as a defender in Fantasy, produced the final pass for the opener scored by Luis Diaz (£7.5m).

Notably, Jurgen Klopp’s decision to change his entire XI for the second half of both of Liverpool’s pre-season fixtures has had a big impact at both ends of the pitch.

The Reds have certainly profited from the introduction of fresh legs in attack, scoring six of their eight goals after the break.

Diogo Jota (£8.0m) was the main beneficiary in their first match, emerging from the bench to produce two goals and an assist against Karlsruhe.

In defence, Klopp has started with the same back four on each occasion - Conor Bradley, Ibrahima Konate (£5.0m), Virgil van Dijk (£6.0m) and Andrew Robertson (£6.5m). 

But his half-time alterations have proved costly at the back.

Four of the six goals Liverpool have conceded have been scored after Klopp replaced his regulars at the break.
