The Scout's panel of Fantasy Premier League experts are revealing their current 15-man squads for the start of the 2023/24 season.

Goalkeepers

Jordan Pickford (£4.5m) and Joao Virginia (£4.0m): I have gone with the double-up of Pickford and Virginia in case the former gets suspended or injured. Goalkeepers from sides managed by Sean Dyche are usually good for clean sheets and saves.

Defenders

Luke Shaw (£5.5m): He takes set-pieces for Manchester United and has good opening fixtures.

Nathan Ake (£5.0m): A cheap route into one of the league's best defences.

Pervis Estupinan (£5.0m): Brighton have great opening fixtures and he's very attacking.

Sven Botman (£4.5m): Botman registered 129 points last season and is £2.0m less than Kieran Trippier (£6.5m). He is a good route into the Newcastle's defence.

Amari'i Bell (£4.0m): Bell is a great budget option. He started almost all of Luton Town’s Championship fixtures last season and scored a goal. If Luton keep half of the 21 clean sheets they did in the 2022/23 season he’ll return good value for a £4.0m defender.

Midfielders

Son Heung-min (£9.0m): Ange Postecoglou is an attacking head coach and the South Korean is underpriced after a poor campaign last time around.

Marcus Rashford (£9.0m): The Englishman is Man Utd's primary goal threat. No midfielder scored more goals in home matches last season.

Bukayo Saka (£8.5m) and Gabriel Martinelli (£8.0m): Arsenal play at Emirates Stadium three times in the first four Gameweeks and they consistently produced an Expected Goals tally of three or higher in home matches last season. Both are good options and I can easily switch to another midfielder at this price point.

Kaoru Mitoma (£6.5m): Brighton posted great numbers under Roberto De Zerbi last season and play at home four times in the first six Gameweeks. After a poor end to last season, he should be refreshed and raring to go.

Forwards

Erling Haaland (£14.0m): The only premium player in the side and he will be my captain most weeks.

Gabriel Jesus (£8.0m): Involved in everything Arsenal do, Jesus looks a steal. There are also great alternatives at that price range, so it's an easy way out to Ollie Watkins (£8.0m), Aleksandar Mitrovic (£7.5m) or Christopher Nkunku (£7.5m), with the latter a strong option if Chelsea hit the ground running.

Divin Mubama (£4.5m): In as a budget enabler. At £4.5m, he likely won’t register many points, but he allows the rest of the team to be better.
