Chelsea full-backs Reece James and Ben Chilwell have both said how excited they are to be working under Mauricio Pochettino ahead of the 2023/24 Premier League season.
Pochettino was announced as Chelsea's new head coach on 29 May and will start his job from 1 July.
The Argentinian has a good history of working with full-backs, with Kyle Walker, Danny Rose and Kieran Trippier all excelling under him at Tottenham Hotspur.
"I'm looking forward to working with him [Pochettino]," James said on Chelsea's official website.
"Everyone says he’s a great manager and hopefully next season we can find our feet early and be a good, strong side like we know we can be.
Pochettino will be taking over a Chelsea side who registered a disappointing 12th-placed finish in 2022/23.
"The aim is to get back to where we know we should be," Chilwell said. "We've got a big pre-season coming up that we’re all looking forward to.
"We've got a new manager coming in and it's up to us as players to go out there and make sure next season is a good one for the club.
"I’m really excited to work with Pochettino. I've spoken to a few players who have worked with him before and they’ve all said good things about him and highlighted how he's such a good manager."
Chelsea and Premier League fans will get an early taste of Pochettino's plans for Chelsea when the club embark on the Premier League's Summer Series tournament this July.
