Ebou Adams struck late on to give Norwich City a 1-0 victory over Everton and leave it all to play for in Group D with one round of fixtures to play.

After Norwich goalkeeper Paul Jones denied Everton's David Henen and Harry Charsley, Canaries right-back Louis Ramsay fired a shot centimetres wide of the post.

As the match opened up, Adams followed up a parried free-kick to fire the winner eight minutes from time.

The victory lifts Norwich level on seven points with David Unsworth's Everton, with both a point behind Portsmouth.

Wolverhampton Wanderers are bottom with five points but can still qualify if they beat Norwich in their final PL Cup match on Friday, 24 February.

Everton travel to Portsmouth three days later.
