Sam Allardyce has billed Saturday's match between Crystal Palace and Sunderland as the "ultimate six-pointer" as both teams bid to take a step towards Premier League survival.

"It's the ultimate six-pointer again," he told cpfc.co.uk. "We failed last time against Swansea; we can't let that happen.

"We can't afford a single slip with [Jermain] Defoe about. We have to be very sharp defensively to try to nullify him."
