With the January transfer window closed, the Premier League can confirm its clubs made a net profit on player transfers in this window of £4.0m.

This is made up of:
Total spend £236.7m
Total sales £240.7m
Net spend -£4.0m / OR a club net profit on player sales: £4.0m

This includes transfer fees committed this January by clubs.

It does not include contingency fees (for example, for appearances, goals, or other performance-related payments).
