Gabriel ranks third among defenders in Fantasy this season, scoring three goals and collecting 12 clean sheets to total 128 points.

Although the Gunners have conceded in each of their last four, Southampton's poor attacking record lifts their prospects of a shutout.

Saints have blanked in four of their last six matches, scoring just four goals over that period.

Gabriel’s goal threat adds to his appeal against the side bottom of the division.

His 21 shots in the box are at least 13 more than any other member of Arsenal’s back four, with the more popular Ben White (£4.9m) managing only four.

In particular, Gabriel’s aerial threat looks set to pose major problems for Southampton.

His 16 headed shots are among the top five defenders in Fantasy this term and his opponents on Friday, have struggled to defend aerial situations recently.

They have conceded 20 headed shots in the last six Gameweeks, only three other sides have let in more.
