Chelsea have been knocked out of the UEFA Champions League at the quarter-final stage after losing 4-0 on aggregate to Real Madrid.

Trailing 2-0 from the first leg in Spain, the Blues fought bravely before Rodrygo's 58th-minute strike all but ended Chelsea's hopes of finding a way back into the tie.

Rodrygo scored his second with 10 minutes remaining to book the Spanish side's place in the last four.

Manchester City are now the only Premier League side left in the Champions League.

They travel to Bayern Munich for their second leg on Wednesday, holding a 3-0 aggregate lead.

Pep Guardiola’s side are hoping to reach the semi-final stage for a third consecutive season, and ultimately go one better than in 2020/21, when they lost 1-0 to Chelsea in the final.
