Michael Keane was the hero as his incredible 90th-minute strike earned Everton a dramatic 1-1 draw against Tottenham Hotspur as both sides finished with 10 men at Goodison Park.

The visitors thought they were on their way to a crucial win in the top-four race after two key moments in the space of 10 second-half minutes.

On 58 minutes, Abdoulaye Doucoure was sent off for violent conduct after he raised his hand and connected with Harry Kane's face.

Ten minutes later, Spurs took the lead through a Kane penalty, awarded after Cristian Romero had been fouled by Keane.

Though his goal wasn't the winner, it's now 22 for the season in the race for the Castrol Golden Boot, while Kane reached another milestone by producing his 250th goal contribution in the Premier League.

Just as Spurs were heading for three important points, substitute Lucas Moura was sent off for a dangerous tackle on Keane.

Then up stepped the centre-back, who strode forward before unleashing an incredible shot from 25 yards out into the right corner.

That made it 10 points that Spurs have dropped from winning positions in their last 10 matches.

Keane's goal proved to be a vital one for Everton, sending the Toffees up to 15th on 27 points, one clear of the relegation zone.

Five other teams around Everton do have at least one match in hand, however.

In Cristian Stellini's first match since taking over from Antonio Conte, Spurs move up one spot to fourth with 50 points, ahead of Manchester United in fifth courtesy of a superior goal difference.

However, both Man Utd and third-placed Newcastle United, also on 50 points, have two matches in hand on Spurs.
