The 23-year-old right-back becomes Spurs' second acquisition of the January transfer window following the addition of Arnaut Danjuma from Villarreal. Porro joins on loan with an obligation from Spurs to make the deal permanent in the summer.

Porro signs for Spurs after two-and-a-half seasons at Sporting, where he played 98 times in all competitions, scoring 12 goals and providing 20 assists. Two of those appearances came against his new club this season, in the group stages of the UEFA Champions League.
He will wear the No 23 shirt at Spurs.
Porro, who was also on the books of Manchester City, but never made a competitive appearance for them, could make his debut this Sunday when Spurs host City at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.
