Maddison marked his return from injury in Gameweek 21 by coming off the bench against Brighton & Hove Albion

His form prior to the season break looks very encouraging for the Foxes for the rest of the campaign.

Maddison amassed 25 points over his previous three road trips, scoring twice and supplying two assists.

That continued his reliable form in away matches over the season for Brendan Rodgers’ side.

Regular returns

Maddison has blanked just twice in his seven away starts, averaging 6.0 points per appearance in those encounters.

That also includes goals against Arsenal and Tottenham Hotspur.

Despite missing six of Leicester's 20 fixtures, Maddison’s all-round influence is highlighted by the underlying numbers.

He has created 31 chances this term, more than any team-mate, while his 40 shots, 20 shots in the box and 13 shots on target all rank second for the Foxes.

Leaky opponents

He will face a Villa team who have been somewhat fortunate in defence recently.

Although they have allowed just five goals in five fixtures since the season resumed, their total of 15 big chances conceded in that period is the third-worst record in the league.

Maddison has the all-round potential to exploit those frailties and extend his consistent run of returns on the road.
