Barnes had enjoyed his best run of form in 2022/23 before the break for the FIFA World Cup after Gameweek 16.

He had scored in four of the Foxes' final five matches, amassing 34 points over that period.

Barnes has not been able to replicate that output since domestic action resumed, suffering a run of four successive blanks.

However, the underlying numbers show he has still boasted a major goal threat in the last four Gameweeks.

Barnes' seven shots in the box and four big chances were both more than double any team-mate.

Indeed, that latter total ranks third among midfielders in Fantasy, bettered only by Marcus Rashford (£7.1m) and Kaoru Mitoma (£5.0m), each with five big chances.

Although Brighton visit King Power Stadium in fine attacking form, they have managed only one clean sheet since the season resumed.

As Leicester's main goal threat, Barnes can exploit those frailties and get back on the scoresheet.
