The Premier League will resume play this weekend for Matchweek 8.
Two matches kick-off the action on Friday when fourth-bottom Aston Villa host Southampton, while Fulham travel to Nottingham Forest in a matchup between two promoted teams back in the top-flight.
Saturday’s slate begins when Wolverhampton Wanderers host Manchester City at Molineux. Wolves started slowly this season, but Bruno Lage’s side is always a tough outfit, especially at home. Manchester City has been in impressive form right out of the gate, but their last Premier League fixture was a surprise draw at Aston Villa, and this weekend’s match could be just as difficult.
Sunday starts with a capital derby at the Brentford Community Stadium where Brentford entertain Arsenal. The Gunners' perfect start to the season came to an end with a 3-1 loss at Manchester United, and their match against Brentford will be another challenge. The Bees’ last match was a 5-2 thumping of Leeds United and they have yet to lose a match at home.
NBC Spotlight
The NBC focus on Saturday afternoon is Tottenham Hotspur Stadium, where Spurs welcome Leicester City to London for a primetime matchup.
Antonio Conte’s side sit third in the table and Spurs will see Saturday’s fixture as an ideal opportunity to earn three more points. Leicester currently find themselves bottom with only one point this season. The Foxes will have their work cut out if they are to get a positive result.
