Best Premier League goals scored in May

The final weekend of the 2021/22 Premier League season has arrived and is set to be filled with dramatic moments as the title race, UEFA Champions League qualification and final relegation place all hang in the balance.

The race for the final top-four spot has come down to bitter north London rivals, Tottenham Hotspur and Arsenal.

Spurs lead the Gunners by two points, meaning that if they can take care of business on the road at Norwich City, they will lock in fourth place.

If, however, Spurs slip up and lose to Norwich, Arsenal could be waiting to pounce. Mikel Arteta’s side host Everton, and a win over the Toffees could dramatically pull them back into the final Champions League place.

At the opposite end of the table, there is still one relegation spot to be decided - and it’s a straight fight between Leeds United and Burnley.

Jesse Marsch's Leeds have to fight for their survival on the road, as they travel to face a feisty Brentford squad. Burnley, on the other hand, welcome Newcastle United at Turf Moor.

A draw for Burnley at Aston Villa during the week put them level on points with Leeds, but the Clarets have a better goal difference. If they match or better Leeds' result, Burnley will be guaranteed Premier League safety.

At the top, Manchester City continue to hold a one point lead over a Liverpool side that just won’t give up.

Both teams have been rolling in 2022, and now the title is coming down to the wire.

Pep Guardiola’s Man City will clinch the title with a win at home against Villa, but a draw or loss will open the door for Liverpool to take the crown if they can beat Wolverhampton Wanderers at Anfield.

You can’t ask for more than the title race being decided on the final matchday!

The stakes couldn’t be higher. Watch the match on USA Network at 11:00 AM ET on Sunday.
