As we move from winter to spring and the temperature goes up, the heat of the contest to succeed in the Premier League also rises.

Nike has launched the third Flight ball for the 2021/22 Premier League as teams focus on the final challenges of the season.

Whether it is to lift the Premier League Trophy, which features on the new ball, or the right to be in the competition another season, the third Flight ball will be in the thick of the action.

The ball has the same tech as those of this season and last, with the AerowSculpt technology improving consistency and giving a truer flight.

Where this ball stands out from previous ones this season are the 12 signal pods - the circles across the ball’s surface, which drive enhanced visual performance, letting players read the pace and spin of the ball better. These are more prominent, sitting above the other graphics.

It will have its first competitive action this weekend in Matchweek 28, which kicks off with Leicester City hosting Leeds United on Saturday 5 March at 12:30 GMT.

The new ball will be available at Nike.com from Saturday.
