Jurgen Klopp has praised the adaptability of James Milner for his switch to left-back this season ahead of the midfielder facing his former team Manchester City on Saturday.

“For us, it was clear that if Millie [Milner] was open for this position then everything would be good," Klopp told liverpoolfc.com. "You are never too old to develop.

"Millie didn’t love the position but I think nobody really spoke with him about it. We always liked this player and for us it was clear we would try everything to use him."
