The qualifying for the first round of the Fantasy Premier League Cup takes place this weekend over the Gameweek 17 fixtures.

The top 2,097,152 scorers in Gameweek 17 will enter the first round of the cup, which starts in Gameweek 18.

If there are more than 2,097,152 qualifiers, there will be a random draw among the lowest scorers to determine who makes it through.

Each qualifying team will then be randomly drawn against another in the first round, for Gameweek 18.

The winner (the team with the higher Gameweek score minus any transfer points spent) will progress to the second round and another random draw will take place.

This process continues until the final Gameweek when the two remaining teams contest the cup final.

If a cup match is drawn, the following tie-breaks will be applied until a winner is found:
- Most goals scored by team's players in the Gameweek
- Fewest goals conceded in the Gameweek
- Virtual coin toss

The prize for the winning manager is:
- VIP hospitality at one Premier League 2017/18 match of the winner’s choice including travel and 2 nights’ accommodation (B&B basis)
- Copy of FIFA and games console
- Tablet computer
- Bluetooth speaker
- Nike manager jacket
- FPL goody bag (rucksack, -shirt, mug, water bottle, stress ball, pen/pad, key ring)
