This will be the first top-flight meeting between Brentford and Brighton & Hove Albion. The sides have previously met in the second, third and fourth tiers of English league football.

Brentford remain unbeaten in their three Premier League contests so far (W1 D2). Excluding the inaugural campaign of 1992/93, the only team to remain unbeaten in their first four matches in the competition are Portsmouth in 2003/04.

No Brighton player has had more shots than centre-back Shane Duffy in the Premier League this season, with eight. Five of his eight shots have been set up by Pascal Gross, with no player creating more chances for a team-mate in the competition so far this term.

The Bees are on the longest current unbeaten league run of any side in England’s top four tiers (15 matches – W7 D8) since a 1-0 defeat at Norwich City in March. At home, Brentford are unbeaten in nine league encounters (W5 D4), winning each of the last three without conceding.
