The Premier League believe that having a diverse workforce is important to drive business performance.

We are committed to improving greater access opportunities and career progression for individuals from Black, Asian and other minority ethnic groups, as these are currently underrepresented in the football industry.

As part of a wider plan, we are launching a pilot placement programme targeted at these groups, aiming to develop and prepare individuals for a future career in football.

There are currently three places on the pilot cohort, with a plan to expand the programme in future. The Premier League is looking for individuals who are available to commence on 1 September 2021.

To be considered for the programme, please click on the "Apply Now" link below and complete the application form.

Please note, you should aim to write approximately 250 words per written answer. The deadline for submission is Monday 17 May 2021.

The Programme and Objectives

Successful candidates will complete an 18-month programme comprised of three six-month placements in different Premier League departments.

There will be opportunities to get involved in a wide range of Premier League departments, including Broadcasting, Coaching, Commercial, Communications, Community, Finance, Football Operations, Football Relations, IT, Legal, Supporter Services, Policy and Youth.

The departments allocated to your placement will depend on your current skill set and interests. The selected departments will be communicated to you at offer stage.

There will be many exciting development opportunities for individuals during their placement programme. The Premier League has a 70/20/10 learning stucture. Seventy per cent of learning is done on the job, 20 per cent from other people (coaching, mentoring, other departments), and 10 per cent comes from formal training.

Most tasks that successful individuals will take part in will allow for skills to be learnt on the job.

Individuals will receive a lot of support and guidance from the line managers responsible for them and internal/external mentors assigned to them during the placement. There will also be the chance to attend formal training courses to expand your professional skills.

Individuals have opportunities to get involved in exciting and dynamic Premier League projects and you should take a look at premierleague.com for some insight into the wide range of work that we do across football and the communities that we serve.

The placement could involve travel to complete tasks and, if COVID-19 restrictions allow, you will be able to attend Premier League matches, visit Premier League Clubs, take part in Premier League events and learn first-hand experiences from individuals who work across the football industry.
