Did you know?

Burnley’s first ever Premier League victory came in their first Wednesday match in the competition, against Manchester United at Turf Moor in August 2009. Since then, they are winless in their six PL home encounters on this day (D3 L3).

Burnley striker Chris Wood has scored in three of his four league starts against Villa, with each goal coming at a different ground (Elland Road, Villa Park and Turf Moor).

Villa have lost just one of their seven PL meetings with Burnley (W2 D4).

Emiliano Martinez has kept eight clean sheets in his 16 PL away starts. Of all goalkeepers to have started at least 10 matches on the road in the competition, he has the best clean- sheet ratio, with 50 per cent.
