Managers in Fantasy Premier League Draft are faced with the prospect of navigating a reduced Gameweek 18.

With only six matches scheduled and no Free Hit option like you'll find in the Fantasy Premier League game, there are a lot of difficult decisions to be made.

My first advice is to see where you and your opponent are starting the week. If there is a significant disparity between the two of you in terms of the number of players who have a fixture, then you probably don't want to rock the boat and just take the presumptive win or loss.

For those who look at the situation and think one or two moves could tilt the outcome without giving up key players, here are my suggestions for waiver wire priorities likely to be available in eight-team leagues ahead of Tuesday's 16:30 GMT deadline.

GKP: Aaron Ramsdale (SHU)

Ouch. This is not a pretty picture. The only players who are both likely to be available and have a Gameweek 18 fixture are Ramsdale and Robert Sanchez.

Ramsdale doesn't have the worst match-up (at home against Newcastle United), but his Sheffield United side sit at the bottom of the Premier League. Sanchez, meanwhile, faces Manchester City.

DEF: Kieran Tierney (ARS)

Aaahhh. Much more like it. For those who need a defender, Tierney is probably available for you.

Not only does he have a fixture but he's the 13th most-productive defender overall in the game and his fixtures in both Gameweek 18 (v Crystal Palace) and Gameweek 19 (v Newcastle) are good ones for a resurgent Arsenal side.

MID: Phil Foden (MCI)

Man City seem to be getting closer to the form we expected of them all season. The goal pace is muted compared to the past few seasons but the arrow is pointing in the right direction and a home meeting with Brighton & Hove Albion in Gameweek 18, followed by a Double Gameweek 19, makes them an attractive proposition.

FWD: Joelinton (NEW)

Unfortunately, there's even less to be excited about here than usual. Maybe you can talk yourself into someone like Joelinton against Sheff Utd, who have yet to keep a clean sheet this season.

Finally, for those who don't see much advantage in diving into the waiver market, this might be the time to propose a trade to a fellow manager whose side is going to be gutted by players who are without a fixture this week.

If your priorities are for Gameweek 19 and beyond, and your fellow manager is thinking only about getting the win this week, then you might be able to obtain a player you wouldn't be able to get under normal circumstances. Just some food for thought.
